L.A. Honda World Racing to Participate in TC America Blancpain GT World Challenge
The LA Honda World Race Team, fresh off a victory in Daytona, will be competing in the TC America Blancpain GT World Challenge March 1-3rd, 2019.
The New TC America creates a unique and exclusive brand identity for the popular touring car classes. LA Honda World will be entering the IMSA-numbered #52 Yellow Honda TCR Type R driven by Harry Cheung. In the TC America Blancpain GT World Challenge, the vehicle will carry the number #14.
Building on a 1,2 podium finish at Daytona in the TCR Class, the team carries momentum into the March 1-3rd race at the Circuit of the Americas looking for more podium finishes.
TC America provides some very exciting touring car racing in the country with non-stop action throughout 40 minute sprint races.
Circuit of the Americas is a world class destination for motorsports in the United States. Set on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills just outside downtown Austin, TX, Circuit of the Americas is a 20 turn, counterclockwise circuit which includes a 133 foot hill at Turn 1.
Team Principle Mario Biundo states, “Bringing home the trophies from Daytona in our first race of the season was tremendous and we greatly anticipate a hard fought race at COTA, one of the most exciting tracks in the United States”.
LA Honda World Racing partner Luis Perocarpi of LAP Motorsports exclaims that, “The Honda TCR Type R has proved to be one of the most competitive race cars in the TCR class globally and as evidenced by the podium finishes in Daytona. Going into COTA we anticipate a strong performance.”
